The verdict

Munchie has been open since 1997, which makes it one of the oldest restaurants in Chamonix according to the house. It is a family business, and its 4.5 from nearly 900 Google reviews shows how loyal its customers are.

On the menu

Medium-sized plates for sharing, inspired by flavours from around the world with a preference for Asia. You can also keep your dish to yourself, the menu allows it.

Our advice

Book online or by phone between 3pm and 6:30pm. Fully booked? Go anyway: a few tables are kept for people who turn up without a booking.

It is the safest alternative to fondue on an evening when you fancy something else.
