The verdict

Le Morgane is the best-placed hotel for the Aiguille du Midi: the cable car leaves a few minutes' walk away. The house announces its reopening for December 2026, after a makeover entrusted to the Barcelona firm Astet Studio.

Its website presents it as a five-star, while Google still lists it as a four-star. The 4.2 from nearly 900 Google reviews largely refers to the hotel before the works.

On site

A spa, a restaurant and rooms with a contemporary design that reinterprets the chalet spirit in warm tones. A non-refundable room was offered at €234 for 10 January 2027.

Our advice

A reopening hotel may need some fine-tuning of its service in the first weeks. Book a cancellable rate and check that the spa and restaurant will be open on your dates.

Take the first cabin up the Aiguille du Midi: that is this address's concrete advantage over all the others.
