The verdict
The Auberge du Bois Prin is the most intimate of Chamonix's fine addresses: only eleven rooms, all with a view of Mont Blanc. It is on the sunny side of the valley, in Les Moussoux, above the centre.
Its Google rating of 4.8 from more than 700 reviews is one of the highest in the valley. When we checked, the night of 10 April 2027 was listed at €327.
On site
Four superior rooms, two deluxe rooms, three junior suites and two suites, each with a garden or balcony. A spa and a restaurant serving Alpine cooking, open from 30 May to 1 November 2026 for the summer season.
Our advice
The walk up from the centre is short but steep: come by car or taxi with your luggage. Book the restaurant at the same time as the room, as its service days are limited.
