Why go?

Bellachat is a small stone hut at 2,152 metres, on the Brévent side of the valley. It offers an exceptional panorama of Mont Blanc, the Aiguille du Midi and the Bossons glacier.

Good to know

The hut announces its opening from 19 June to 26 September 2027, with a dormitory and a bivouac area. Bookings are made by email with the wardens.

Its Google rating of 3.3 is the lowest of our listings: the comfort is that of a mountain hut, not a hotel.

Our advice

The easiest option is to walk down from Le Brévent on the trail rather than climb up from the valley: the direct ascent is long and steep. Carry water, the route is exposed to the sun.
